Here's one for you ...
When I was 17, I worked for a TV station. One of the engineers bought a new 900cc 2 cycle Kawasaki. At the time I was riding a 350 HD Sprint and thought I knew everyting about everything, so I asked if I could take a ride. He said sure and tossed me the keys. I jumped on the bike, found the pedals and switches, and proceeded to pull out into the street.

Now imagine, if you will, the feeling of a bike accelerating so fast that you start sliding off the back of the seat ... and as you slide, your hand is opening the throttle wider and wider!!! Talk about panic!!! It was all I could do to hang on with my left hand and turn the throttle loose. Of course, when I did, the bike went into compression braking and nearly threw me over the handle bars!! I finally got the damned thing stopped ... and just stood there. I was shaking so hard I could barely balance the bike, and was so rattled that I couldn't think of what to do next.

That's when the sound of laughter caught up with me ... I turned and saw four of the guys I work with laughing so hard they couldn't walk. When I regained my composure and returned with the bike I was as red as the sunset.

After that, if the topic of motorcycles came up, someone would mention "Bronco Dave" and everyone would crack up.
